Info/Condition
I aim to provide good quality original maps at an affordable price. Most maps are in excellent condition and have seen little, if any use. Remains of library stamp[s] may be present on the outer margins. If you are unsure which map covers your particular village, farm, etc. [only a few street names will be shown as it depends on the available space on each map] please enquire if you need help.

Provisional/1st series
The ‘Provisional/1st series’ [around 2000 maps] are the ‘flat’ [unfolded] edition in colour. [scale 2 ½”/1:25,000]. They were published between 1946 and 1977 using the national grid letter codes and numbers [‘HP40’ Baltasound [Shetland] to ‘TV69’ in Eastbourne]. They are ideal for framing and show many features that have since disappeared – especially the railways before the Beeching axe and wartime airfields.

2nd/Pathfinder series
The later ‘2nd/Pathfinder series’ maps in colour are folded. [scale 2 ½”/1:25,000]. They were published between 1965 and 1994. There are usually two maps combined using the same ‘letter & number’ codes as the 1st series. This later changed to a simpler ‘number’ system [1 to 1370].
